Why We Built This Site
North Carolina gives the public access to many court records, but Transylvania County records are not held by one office. The Clerk of Superior Court keeps Superior Court, District Court, estates, special proceedings, divorce judgments, copies, and background-search requests. The Sheriff's Office manages the jail roster, criminal papers tools, tips, and detention records. The Register of Deeds handles marriage licenses, marriage certificates, vital records, real estate recordings, and military discharges. State agencies such as NCDMV, NC DAC, and the Judicial Branch also keep separate record systems.

- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
